What does sunsetting Service Manager and Accounts mean?
Sunsetting Service Manager and Accounts means that the software and its mobile applications will no longer be sold or supported. You will no longer be able to renew your support contract after the support end date.
Why are we sunsetting Service Manager and Accounts?
Trimble is dedicated to offering MEP professionals solutions and services that increase efficiency and productivity across the construction process. In order to deliver on our vision of “Connected Construction”, we have decided to focus our resources on cloud-based solutions. This move will enable Trimble to deliver more new features to market faster and better meet customer needs.
Will there be new software updates after 2 May 2022?
No. After this announcement, no further software updates will be made, however, support will still be available until the end of your contract.
What if I want to renew my support contract in 2022?
You can extend your Service Manager support contract until May 2023. You can extend your Accounts support contract until May 2024.
Can I continue using Service Manager or Accounts?
Yes, you can continue using Service Manager or Accounts. Continued usage will be at your own risk after your support contract end date. The software will not time out. Please note that if you are using the Service Manager mobile application and you uninstall it after May 2023, you will not be able to reinstall it as it will be removed from the App store.
What if a Windows/SQL Server update occurs after support ends and I’m unable to access the software?
We recommend that our customers create a virtual environment to backup the software and data. This ensures the software remains unaffected by any Windows or SQL Server updates. If you require further assistance, please reach out to our support team.
